A better nite
Well, the evening was rocky. We finally got her to eat 2 bites of bread, when she threw up bile again. So no more food, again, but no fever all nite. She slept all nite. Her tummy still hurts, but no pain killers all nite. Just heating pads. The nurse and doctor are starting to hear a little bit of sounds in her belly, finally. This is day 6, this has been a long road. She is trying to get better. I wish this on no one!

I know it must be hard, but hang in there! Shelby knows I really love to put things to music. I found a new song from Mercy Me called (Alright). It is an uplifting song about when things seem to be falling down all around you but you can count it pure joy and keep on dancing..... It always brings a smile to my face.

Hang in there, it WILL get better. Some of us just like to get better at our own pace :) This will definitely make for interesting stories when Shelby starts dating and HE comes over to have dinner with the family...

"MOM! Do you have to tell that story again?"
hey shelby......and everyone......from a nurses point of view.....shelby has come a long way...the body is a complicated wonder and does things on its own order to heal......think back to seven days ago....it seems like a long time, but it is only a wink in a lifetime....and look how much better she is...i can remember when grandma would spend months at a time with penny...the modern miracles of medicine is amazing, but those miracles can not be achieved without the love and prays of family and friends....in another week...another wink in time... she will be home...and in another week after that, she will be back to school, with so much love, prays, and good medicine....Shelby will be her old Spaulding/Ruddock self....We love you all...Aunt Sara, Grandma, Aunt Colleen, and Ryan
